Uttar Pradesh witnessed highest one-day spike with 2,250 new Corona cases, 38 deaths recorded.
In the highest single-day spike, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday reported as many as 2,250 fresh positive cases of coronavirus. With new cases, the Covid-19 tally has reached close to 50,000-mark in the state.
India has recorded over 11.1 lakh Covid-19 cases and 27,497 deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry’s latest update. Of these, 3,90,459 are active cases while 7,00,086 have recovered.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that across the country, 2,56,039 samples were tested for the coronavirus on 19 July.
The total number of Covid-19 infections in Uttar Pradesh now stands at 49,523. Among the fresh cases, 392 were reported from Lucknow, 168 from Kanpur, 125 from Gautam Buddha Nagar, 104 from Jhansi, 100 from Prayagraj and 79 from Ghaziabad.
The pandemic has claimed as many as 1,146 lives in Uttar Pradesh after 38 more people succumbed to viral infection yesterday, as per the state health department latest bulletin. This is the second time that a single day’s new Covid-19 infections have crossed the 2,000-mark in Uttar Pradesh.
Amid a spike in coronavirus infections in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government has rolled out a new action plan to fight Covid-19.
Dr Sandeep Kapoor, director of Healthcity Hospital in Lucknow told that as Covid-19 cases are rising in the state, people need to be careful while stepping out of the house, particularly those with some other medical problem.”
Now the government is facing critical condition in health sectors and government is planning to establish basic requirements for better health as the total number of Covid-19 infections in Uttar Pradesh now stands at 49,523. Among the fresh cases, 392 were reported from Lucknow, 168 from Kanpur, 125 from Gautam Buddha Nagar, 104 from Jhansi, 100 from Prayagraj and 79 from Ghaziabad.But the government is appealing to people to maintain all norms to protect themselves from corona virus .
