जलवायु परिवर्तन के लिए सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था ज़रूरी, आरुषि निशंक ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र में रखा मत.

अभिनेत्री, फिल्म निर्माता और समाज सेविका आरुषि निशंक ने आज जिनेवा, स्विट्जरलैंड में संयुक्त राष्ट्र में बोलते हुए कहा कि सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था किसी भी देश की मुख्य अर्थव्यवस्था को बढ़ावा दे सकती है। सत्र का आयोजन जिनेवा के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पर्यावरण भवन में यूएनईपी द्वारा किया गया था। जिसमे आरुषि को संयुक्त राष्ट्र, यूएनईपी (जिनेवा) द्वारा आमंत्रण मिला.

प्रतिष्ठित विश्व मंच, संयुक्त राष्ट्र के कार्यक्रम में बोलते हुए उन्होंने गंगा, जलवायु परिवर्तन और महिला सशक्तिकरण के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता के बारे में बात की, जिसे वह अपने एनजीओ स्पर्श गंगा के माध्यम से कर रही हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि जब हम सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था के बारे में बात करते हैं, तो हम दो चीजों के बारे में बात करते हैं। पहला, कि हमारे पास सीमित संसाधन हैं और दूसरा, पर्यावरण की बात करते हुए अर्थव्यवस्था को कैसे विकसित किया जा सकता है। इसके लिए, हमने गंगा नदी से बेकार फूलों से धूपबत्ती बनाना शुरू कर दिया और इससे मेरे गृह राज्य उत्तराखंड में सैकड़ों महिलाओं को रोजगार मिला है। प्लास्टिक के उपयोग से बचने के लिए, हमने जूट के बैग बनाना शुरू कर दिया है, जो फिर से कई लोगों को रोजगार का कारण बना.

यह सर्कुलर परिवर्तन का समर्थन करने के लिए नए व्यापार मॉडल, प्रौद्योगिकियों और प्रक्रियाओं के विकास को प्रोत्साहित करता है। उन्होंने कहा कि सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था सिद्धांतों को लागू करके, विशेष रूप से हिमालयी क्षेत्रों में, प्रभावी रूप से अपने पर्यावरणीय पदचिह्न को कम किया जा सकता है, आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा दिया जा सकता है और अपने स्थानीय समुदायों की भलाई को बढ़ाया जा सकता है।
भारत में पहाड़ी राज्य कचरा उत्पादन, विशेष रूप से पर्यटन और दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों से, कई चुनौतियों का सामना करते हैं। सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था के सिद्धांतों को लागू करने से कचरे को प्रभावी ढंग से प्रबंधित करने में मदद मिल सकती है। चूंकि पर्यटन कई हिमालयी समुदायों के लिए आय का एक प्रमुख स्रोत है। सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था के सिद्धांत पर्यटन प्रथाओं को प्रोत्साहित कर सकते हैं, कचरे को कम कर सकते हैं और पर्यावरण-पर्यटन पहलों को बढ़ावा दे सकते हैं।

Actress, filmmaker and social worker Arushi Nishank, speaking at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland today, said that the circular economy can boost the core economy of any country. The session was organised by UNEP at the International Environment House in which Arushi was invited by the United Nations, UNEP (Geneva).

Speaking at an event at the prestigious world forum, United Nations, she spoke about her commitment to Ganga, climate change and women’s empowerment, which she is doing through her NGO sparshGanga. She said when we talk about the circular economy, we talk about two things. First, that we have limited resources and second, how the economy can be developed when it comes to the environment. For this, we started making incense sticks from waste flowers from river Ganga and this has provided employment to hundreds of women in my home state of Uttarakhand. To avoid the use of plastic, we have started making jute bags, which again employed many people.

This circular economy encourages the development of new business models, technologies and processes to support change. She said that by applying circular economy principles, especially in the Himalayan regions, one can effectively reduce one’s environmental footprint, promote economic growth and enhance the well-being of one’s local communities.

Mountainous states in India, gets huge garbage production, especially tourism driven areas, face many challenges. Applying the principles of circular economy can help manage waste effectively. Since tourism is a major source of income for many Himalayan communities. The principles of circular economy can encourage tourism practises, reduce waste, and promote eco-tourism initiatives.

Arushi, who is also an Earth Day Network star, has been working through her NGO Sparsh Ganga since 2009, which is recognised by UNDP and UNEP. But this is the first time she has spoken out strongly at a prestigious body panel in the United Nations, Geneva.
